Beginner sewing workshop: TOTE BAG MAKING

Learn how to sew your very own tote bag from scratch. Led by our sustainable sewing coach who will guide you through the process step by step, ensuring you leave with a stylish, functional & unique tote bag.

What will you learn:

• Fabric Selection: Explore a curated collection of quality fabrics, patterns, and colours to suit your unique style.
• Stitching: Learn the art of precision stitching as you bring your tote bag design to life.
• Personalization: Add your personal touch with a range of finishes, embellishments, or even your initials. It’s your creation, make it uniquely yours!
• Tips and Tricks: Pick up valuable sewing tips and tricks from our experienced instructors to enhance your skills.

What’s included:

• Fabric to make your bag
• Bag straps, contrast and matching fabrics and buttons
• All tools & equipment to complete the project
• Expert guidance and tips from your workshop host
• Email support for the next 3 months

What you need to bring:

• Your own sewing machine with its power cable
  1. Please make sure the machine works and has been recently serviced. Please bring along the manual and all the accessories that came with it including spare bobbins and the bobbin case if applicable.
  2. If you don’t have a sewing machine, we can loan you a machine for a small fee.
• Threads and a sewing kit (you can buy one from us if you want)
• Notepad and pen

Note: You need to know how to thread and use your machine. We offer an introduction to sewing machine workshop too, if you wanted to get to grips with your machine.

If you know how to use a sewing machine, then this is a fantastic first project. This is the perfect beginner sewing project. Let’s start the bag making.

I want a organise a private session

Email to book a private session. You can invite up to five more friends to join you for the session. It’s a great way to have fun and learn a new skill together. All participants will need to bring their sewing machine and a basic sewing kit. Through the booking process, I will help you get organised for the day.
