Join our practical Sew a Skirt for Beginners class designed for newbie dressmakers who want to learn how to sew a skirt. This hands-on workshop will cover everything from choosing the correct fabric, how to plan, measure and cut along with important sewing techniques for a professional finish. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the entire process, do’s and don’ts and how to troubleshoot if you encounter problems. You’ll leave with a beautifully finished skirt and valuable sewing skills. At the end of this session, you would have learnt how to assess and execute similar projects for yourself or your loved ones.
The class is ideal for those with basic sewing machine knowledge and aims to build your confidence in garment making.
Materials and sewing machines can be provided upon request.

What to Bring:
- Fabric – 1.5 to 2 metres of cotton fabric
- Lace or ric-rac
- Sewing machine (or rent one from us) – Your machine has to be in good working condition and recently serviced.

Schedule: The class is split over 2 consecutive days. Each class is 2.5 hours long
Day 1: Measuring, calculations, marking, and cutting
Day 2: Sewing and personalizing the skirt
Note: Basic sewing machine knowledge required. Maximum of 3 participants per class for personalized attention.
